I stayed at a wonderful bed & breakfast called Wilpattu Tree House. The location was perfect, overlooking the Wilpattu Reserve, and we saw a variety of birds from our treehouse room. We even had squirrels and monkeys right outside our balcony. The shower was excellent and the bed was very comfy. Although our room didn't have a mosquito net, we had a pop-up mossie net that worked well. The dinner and breakfast were basic but tasty. It was only a 2-minute walk to the Nature Reserve entrance, where we could easily hire binoculars and cameras from the hotel. And don't worry about the rustling noises at night, it's just the adorable local wildlife.

I recently stayed at a hotel near Wilpattu National Park and had a fantastic experience. the location couldn't have been better - it was right by the entrance to the park, making it extremely convenient for our safari. Secondly, the staff at this hotel were incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The basic amenities were all provided, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. I was particularly impressed with the attention to detail, such as the comfortable beds and the effective air conditioning which was a blessing in the Sri Lankan heat. Lastly, the breakfast served at this hotel was delicious, especially the sweet pancakes which were a delightful treat.

Everything was alright.

We had an amazing experience spending a night in the jungle! The location was perfect, as it was very close to the safari park and we could see lots of animals from our treehouse, including elephants! The hotel facilities were clean and comfortable, and the terrace where we had breakfast was pretty cool. The staff were experienced and thoughtful, especially Chapa, the manageress who made every provision for our dietary needs and arranged our safari jeep at a lower rate than anywhere else we could find.

The absence of hot water that was quite unpredictable and made showering less enjoyable. we were not aware of the cost of the food until it was too late.
